Newman University – Bishop Gerber Science Center

This new two-story science center will replace the 50-year-old Heimerman Science Center. The Bishop Gerber Science Center is the largest project ever developed on the Newman University campus. The 52,400-square-foot building is home to the chemistry, biology, and physics programs and includes five faculty and student research laboratories. This state-of-the-art facility features new lab spaces and classroom technology that was not previously available to students. The center includes several socialization spaces where students can study, complete with white boards and large screens to plug in computers and iPads. The facility is connected to Eck Hall. Upgrades to Eck Hall include a nursing lab with two intensive care simulation suites, a nurse anesthesia task training room with two operating room simulation suites, and a respiratory care classroom and lab.
