Evergy (Westar) Wichita Service Center

The project is a new facility, single story, using a mix of conventional steel framing and PEMB. The main building consists of a conventional steel office (29,537 SF), two PEMB truck bays (16,900 SF each), and a PEMB warehouse (35,913 SF). Two additional PEMBs are unattached; the fleet garage (9,743 SF) and storage building (11,790 SF). The office roofing consists of a TPO low roof with a clerestory pop-up consisting of a PVC membrane roof. The PEMB buildings consist of a standing seam roof with simple saver roof insulation. The exterior facade consists of 8’ high job-cast tilt up concrete panels (5.5” thick) around all buildings with architectural metal panels at the office and insulated metal panels on the PEMBs. The service yard is 533,253 SF of 7” concrete paving while the parking lot is 74,070 SF of 5.5” concrete paving. The interior office building will have storefront office walls, locker rooms, cubicle office area, and crew rooms for their service department.
