USD 259 Southeast High School Indoor Pool
Southeast High is the city’s first comprehensive high school to open in nearly 40 years. The massive 340,000 SF school was built in 20 months and was completed during one of the wettest summers in Wichita history; more than 28 inches of rain fell. The school is divided into four main areas: a two-story academic wing, a two-story technology plaza, a fine arts area and a physical education and athletic complex.
The six-lane swimming pool is located in the athletic complex along with an 1,8000-seat gymnasium, a practice gym, wrestling and weight rooms, as well as multiple coaches offices and training rooms.
