Core Values

Our core values are more than words that live in a manual or simply get displayed on our walls. They drive everything we do and the way we do it.

Quality
Integrity
Skill
RESPONSIBILITY

Continued Growth

In our 125-year history, we continue to add key competencies that increase the range of services we are able to provide to our customers. This increase in services includes earthwork, underground utilities, bridges and highways, pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB), a crane rental company, and facility maintenance services. These added competencies allow us to self-perform fundamental scopes of work.

safety

Safety is our number one priority, and we have a commitment to safety education, training pre-task planning, administration, performance and corrective measures. All employees from executives to craft personnel and subcontractors are held personally responsible for their actions.

Safety on our projects is never sacrificed for production gains; rather we consider safety an integral part of quality control, cost reduction, and job efficiency. We have achieved a high level of safety consciousness and we are proud of our individual achievements in accident prevention.

The baseline safety training that is provided to project team members is OSHA-30 hour training for superintendents. In addition to OSHA training, Dondlinger prepares a site/project specific safety plan for projects that serves as a safety orientation program. Every person who is going to be at the job site is required to receive this training on their first day prior to the commencement of any work.

The site-specific program is developed by Dondlinger’s Safety Director, Project Manager, and Superintendent along with the owner’s designated representative. Our team will incorporate your policies and procedures including, but not limited to, parking restrictions, site access, security, deliveries, overall logistics, emergency procedures, and existing facility or client-specific safety regulations in effect for the project into the orientation program as well.

Community
Diversity

Dondlinger Construction remains committed to creating and building an environment where individuals of varied backgrounds feel welcome, appreciated, and valued. This commitment is an ongoing mission that will remain ever-changing as we work to build a culture that is centered on diversity and inclusion for all.

QUALITY

It is our intent as a General Contractor to establish a Quality Control Procedure specific to every project to ensure conformance to the contract plans and specifications. Our Quality Control programs include pre-work quality assurance reviews of each finish scope prior to the work beginning as well as daily quality control site monitoring including sufficient inspection and evaluation of all items of finish work, including our subcontractors to ensure conformance in all respects.

These programs are carried out to the best of our ability to ensure a finished product which will meet or exceed the requirements of the contract plans and specifications. In addition, we believe this plan will allow us to exceed your team’s expectations and the high quality of work that our organization demands from its employees and subcontractors.

sustainability

Dondlinger Construction strives to be as efficient and environmentally conscience as possible. In an effort to keep waste low and conserve materials, we have eco-friendly practices in place.

Dondlinger Construction has an asphalt and concrete recycling facility located at our corporate office in Wichita, KS. Any asphalt or concrete generated from a Dondlinger jobsite can come to our recycle facility. The crushed/recycled concrete generated at our facility is available for use on other projects across our company.

Dondlinger currently has a handful of LEED Accredited Professionals on staff. We are committed to constructing highly efficient and cost-saving buildings, bridges, railways, highways, and more. Our most current LEED project is the new college of business, Woolsey Hall, at Wichita State University. Some of our best practices on that jobsite include waste separation: cardboard, scrap metal, scrap wood, plastic bottles and aluminum cans. This reduces the amount of waste going to a landfill. All waste concrete, brick, mortar, and grout is also collected and brought back to our recycling facility.
