13th Street & I-235 Interchange

The Kansas Department of Transportation project I235-87 KA 2040-01 located in Sedgwick County involved the construction of a new interchange connecting the I-235 by-pass to 13^th Street in northwest Wichita. The new interchange is designed to help alleviate traffic congestion through the Zoo Boulevard interchange making it easier to get around in Northwest Wichita.

The project included the construction of a new exit and entrance ramp connecting I-235 and 13^th Street and improvements to Windmill Road.  The exit ramp, a 2,280 foot long bridge allows northbound I-235 traffic to exit and go west on 13^th Street.  The entrance ramp, a 1,697 foot long bridge allows eastbound 13^th street traffic to enter I-235 and head south.
