Groendyke Transport

This was a new project with a schedule of 9 months. After experiencing explosive growth, Groendyke Transport decided they needed to expand their South Central Kansas facility. A decision was made to construct a new facility that would become the prototype for future facilities around the country. The building is constructed of job-cast tilt-up panels and features offices, a truck wash bay, a maintenance area and employee locker rooms.

The building sites on a 17.4 acre site with 358,000 SF of 8″ reinforced concrete that not only serves for vehicular routing, but also accommodates up to 90 trucks for temporary parking. The truck parking includes a heater island that allows 32 trucks to plug their heater blocks in during cold temperatures.
