Kellogg and Rock Road Interchange

Rock Road is one of the busiest streets in Wichita and the Kellogg & Rock Road intersection was in need of a redesign and repair due to the heavy traffic. Dondlinger was a subcontractor to Wildcat Construction and our role in the project was construction the new Rock Road Bridge. The bridge is a cast-in-place post tensioned multi-cell concrete box girder single span bridge. The bridge was constructed using over 4,000 cubic yards of concrete and was constructed in two phases so we would not impede too significantly on traffic. The first phase was the east half of the bridge and the second phase was the west half of the bridge.
