Newton Inflatable Dam Repair

The existing inflatable dam was removed and disposed of. Existing anchors were tested for strength and the new dam bladder was delivered in a roll approximately 38’ wide and 100’ long. It was unrolled on the existing concrete substructure and aligned. Holes were drilled in the bottom rubber for the anchor bolts, the air piping was installed inside the dam bladder, the rubber bladder was folded over, and holes were drilled for top rubber. The seam was then glued together and clamped to the concrete base. It was then inflated, and all of the seams were tested for any air leaks. After the leak test was passed, the bypass channel was backfilled, and the site was restored.
